Daniel,
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd drop you a line, because it seems like this is the best way to keep in touch. Too many people wanna visit you man! Your just too popular, so they made you a website! You know I'd visit if the hospital would let me, because your my brotha from anotha motha! But before you know it your gonna be getting better day by day. And time will start to pass quickly, but yea I know that sitting in a hospital bed is tough especially when your in pain. But I'm here for you anytime, as is everyone. Oh and streusel is DEFINITELY in order when the time is right, I'm paying fo shizzle.
Your homie
Peter Gebhard
P.S. I went all gangster in that letter cuz I figured someone would be reading it and wondered if theyd read it to you verbatim.
Hang in there Daniel. Although it doesn't seem like it, everything happens for a reason. Someday we'll all now the reason. For now just know that me, Sherlene, Jason, Michaela, Scott, Austin, and Samuel love you very much and are praying fervently for you, Aubrey, Mendy, and your brothers. Love from Athens, Craig and Sherlene Wiseman
ReplyDeleteHi, Daniel...this is my 4th attempt to send a comment to you. I just read the update from the Endoscopy procedure. It is so miraculous that you are still with us considering what your body has gone through. The angels must have been around you protecting you during your initial impact with the car and subsequent attendance by all the medical staff because they certainly seem to be a step ahead of the complications with a plan.
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave with all you are enduring. I love you so much, Daniel and am constantly during my waking hours asking Heavenly Father to keep he arms around you.
My thanks to Bill for setting this blog up and keeping us informed with his great details.
God Bless all of you; especially your family and the medical staff.
LOL, Grandma Nan
Hi, Daniel...I just read todays update and the letter your dad wrote. Everyone is doing a fantastic job, keeping us informed.
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of you!! It must take tremendous strength of emotions to keep from screaming at the world when you have been in such agony!! We cannot even imagine what your body has had to endure. Your nerves must have been nearly stretched to their limit.
The pictures of Christine at your side were heart-warming. What a test for both of you. She is truly a lovely young woman. I will be anxious to meet her when I see you.
Again, you are all in my prayers as well as everyone else's.
bye for now, Grandma Nan
Dearest Daniel; I've just read the latest update that you walked 40 steps..congratulations!! I saw the picture Karrie posted. You are such a trouper!! Keep up the good work although I cannot imagine the tremendous effort it takes on your part. I also saw that you have to go back to surgery to have a tube put back in to drain the fluid from your chest. Thank goodness you have such a dedicated staff. You and your family (and Christine, of course, are in all our prayers.
ReplyDeleteLove to all, and thanks to Bill for the continuing updates. They are superior!!
xoxo, Grandma Nan
Dearest Daniel...just checked the up-date (Thanks, Bill). Your mom has also kept me informed of your really good progress and we are all so proud of you. Your inner-strength has truly been tested (and you have passed!) I pray daily and ask Heavenly Father to bless each affected organ (by name as best I can), and ask Him to help you to heal so you and Christine can get on with your life together. He was surely with you as you were "airborne" in the accident. I am grateful this Easter Season that we are blessed to have you with us.
ReplyDeleteJust keep up the good work. I Love You Heaps!!
Grandma Nan
Hi, Daniel...Cindy, Charles, Betty and I just finished 2 fast and furious games of "Rummy" (Charles and I won), and came back to the room to check the "Blog" for today's update.
ReplyDeleteI hope the pelvic x-ray was ok and no further damage occurred.
Everyone here sends their love and prayers for you to continue on the path to full recovery.
We all acknowledge the "Hand of God" in this scenario from the beginning and know that He will continue to bless you as you progress. We love you, Daniel. God Bless all of you.
LOTS OF LOVE (LOL), Grandma Nan
Cindy tells me that LOL in today's "hip" generation means Laugh Out Loud..but not to me. Keep smiling!!! xoxo
Dear Daniel & family
ReplyDeleteI can't help notice the number of times the Blog says "the doctor just happened to order ..." or "someone noticed..." and I wonder if we recognize how often in our lives impressions are answers to prayers. Please know that we are praying for you EVERY DAY to heal and for your doctors to pay attention and discover ways to help that happen. I am grateful to live in a time when medical science makes this level of healing possible! Your family doesn't know my young children very well but you are in EVERY thought and prayer during their days!
My Lincoln asked me to figure out how to send you a song we like to sing when things are going really bad... because it keeps things in perspective! God is Good! It is one of the characteristics that makes Him God. I know that we become like him as we go thru the muddy days of this life... with an understanding that all we experience well will be for our good.
We love you!
