The pic above is a view of the city lights from the window in Daniel's hospital room. If you use your imagination, the white light 35 degrees right and up from the center blue light is the location of the Salt Lake Temple, where Daniel and Christine will be married. To the extreme right and out of the frame is the Utah State Capitol, near where they will have their reception. Mendy pointed these out to Daniel today (when it was still daylight) as he was trying to focus on something besides pain.
If Daniel looks a little out of it in this picture, that's because he is. He has had an exhausting day. The pain in his stomach has increased and the doctors will be monitoring him closely throughout the night for signs of more internal bleeding. His arm/elbow surgery is scheduled for 10:30 tomorrow (Friday) morning -- but that is tentative.
We don't want to alarm anyone, but Daniel needs lots of rest and quiet right now. So when you come to visit with the family at the hospital, PLEASE check with Aubrey or Mendy to see if it is advisable to see Daniel. His condition is still not stable, and his medical needs should of course come first. His condition can change from moment to moment, so please be sensitive to this. The hospital and Daniel's family have asked that ALL visitors stay in the waiting room until you have an opportunity to check with Aubrey or Mendy to see if it is a good idea for Daniel to have a visitor. Chances are, his visits tomorrow will be limited to immediate family. Thank you in advance for your consideration regarding personal visits with Daniel.
We'll be in touch with Mendy or Aubrey throughout the day tomorrow and will keep you updated on Daniel's condition and any other developments.
Hang in there Trauma Bobsled. We're all pulling for you.
You are in our prayers here in Philadelphia, Danno. When you've got such purpose to your life, there isn't anything on earth or hell to keep you from it.
