Mendy called this morning with the report from the trauma team. Considering Daniel's injuries, they are pleased with his progress so far. However he was running a low grade fever yesterday, which then spiked to 102. The doctor (or doctors, we don't know how many) have managed to get the fever down to 101 and are conducing further tests to determine if there is a source of infection.
Daniel is being kept in the Intermediate Intensive Care Unit for now. We will update his condition throughout the day. It is snowing in Salt Lake City right now. Maybe looking out his window at all that snow will cool Daniel off. Never fear.... he is in good hands - in many ways.
By the way, the physical therapist visited Daniel today and got him up out of bed. He took two steps with support!
